Before buying an axolotl you must have a proper tank setup (this info can be found on the Axolotl Setup page). Your tank must have a healthy nitrogen cycle.

Axolotls are Illegal to own in the following states: California, Maine, and New  Jersey. 

Check the shipping information page for basic shipping and pick up information. In the rare event in which the axolotl arrives dead the shipping information page has the steps needed to be issued a full refund.
